It's been a hell of a year.
A year full of good and bad.
From JR's Birthday last 18 March 2011 to JR's Visit in Baluarte last 12 May 2011, and JR's SLU Entrance Test last 01 October 2011 to JR's Entrance to The Sims Social last 01 September 2011, 2011 is a year worth being featured in JR Late Night Blogs.
It's the start of a new year and JR presents to you 10 of his most memorable moments of the past year (from 01 January 2011 to 31 December 2011).
1
JR's Most Memorable Moment of 2011 is his beloved classmates. Being in fourth year high school, JR came to realize about cherishing every minute that passes by with his dearest friends. As S.Y. 2011-2012 is JR's last year in high school, JR dedicates the past year to his buddies especially those coming from his class. Some buddies JR will never forget from 4 Science are John Aaron Go (who was Buddy #1 last January 2011 and August 2011), Marc Daniel Tuazon (who was Buddy #1 last March 2011), Patrick Edward Balisong (who was Buddy #1 last May 2011), Jean Clarence Cariaga (who was Buddy #1 last June 2011), Lycon Marie Soliba (who was Buddy #1 last September 2011), Ruth Rachel Villanueva (who was Buddy #1 last November 2011), and Cris Villanueva (who was Buddy #1 last December 2011). JR's Buddies from IV-Science are those whom JR will always remember in his future life as they are the people whom JR came to know and came to relate with. They are the people whom JR owes a part of his life (other than his family).

JR's USC EXECUTIVE COUNCIL PRESIDENCY
(July 2011 - April 2012)
Another moment which JR will never forget as days pass by is his president-elect in the United Students' Council of SLU-LHS for School Year 2011-2012. The Executive President is the highest known student government position in our school. Way back in elementary (when JR was still in SLU-LES), the highest position JR had ever served was the LSC Press Relations Officer under the presidency of Patrick Edward Balisong. Since then, JR continued on running for different student government positions. First Year, JR ran for Council Sergeant-at-Arms but failed to win; this led JR to become his classroom's president. Second Year, JR ran for Council President against Jhonder Martinez and won with a landslide vote. Third Year, JR ran for Council President against Joseph Gohel and Juancho Lising and won with a small margin difference. And this fourth year, JR ran for Executive President against Patrick Edward Balisong and won with a landslide vote. This president-elect of JR brought him to pursue his dream of bringing change and difference to school especially with the schools' services to the students. Some of the USC projects implemented under the school year 2011-2012 includes "The English-Speaking Campaign", "United Nations Celebration", "Schoolwide Class Team", "Tutorial Services", "Per Class Waste Segregration", "Operation Kapkap", and "School Clean-Up Drives".

JR's BIRTHDAY WITH FRIENDS
(March 2011)
This may probably be JR's Most Memorable Birthday of All Time. Last March 2011, JR had celebrated his 16th Birthday with some of his closest and best-est friends.
4
JR's BALUARTE + VILLA MARAND ADVENTURE
(May 2011)
2011 has been a year of travels and leisure for JR. Last May 2011, JR visited the wondrous Baluarte Hills of current Ilocos Sur Governor Luis "Chavit" Crisologo Singson and the luxurious Villa Marand Resort and Spa of the La Union Government. The Philippines is full of landmarks yet to be discovered; for last year, JR visited some of them. In an effort to support the Philippines' tourism, JR enjoyed the hidden wonders of Region I (specifically Ilocos Sur and La Union). The most memorable ones are that of Baluarte Hills in Vigan, Ilocos Sur and Villa Marand in San Fernando City, La Union. The thing that makes these experiences memorable is experiencing these moments with our family. It is really more fun in the Philippines if you treasure it with them. This 2012, JR's family plans to go to the Chocolate Hills in Bohol as well as some White Sand Beaches near the area.
5
JR's COLLEGE ENTRANCE TESTS
(January 2011, September 2011 - October 2011)
Last January 2011, JR took the Ateneo College Entrance Test (ACET) for the Ateneo Junior Summer Seminar at Ateneo De Manila High School. Though this exam is not technically a College Entrance Test, it still tested JR's mathematical, grammatical, and scientifical knowledge and skills. Last September 2011, JR took the University of the Philippines College Admission Test (UPCAT) at University of the Philippines - Baguio and the De La Salle University College Entrance Test at Baguio City National High School. Last October 2011, JR took the Saint Louis University - College Entrance Exam (SLU-CEE) at the Saint Louis University Library. As of now, JR is still thinking whether he will study in Saint Louis University, University of the Philippines or De La Salle University for college. But one thing is for sure, JR would push himself to the limit to pass all the different challenges he might face in college. These tests, no matter how hard they are, are the key to the doors for each school. Part of the things I will never forget when I reach college are the different entrance exams I took in high school.

JR's DIPLOMAT HOTEL CYBERFAIR ENTRY
(January 2011)
Cyberfair 2011 is a first time in JR's life. As JR and his groupmates embarked in this competition, they explored the hidden wonders of Diplomat Hotel in Baguio City. They documented on the landmark's history. They took pictures of the exotic scenery. They watched videos on some ghost stories hidden behind the ruins. And they interviewed people on the development of the structure. This was one of our most tedious projects since time in memorial. Besides from doing assignments from other subjects, we literally had sleepless nights as we developed our website for the 2011 Philippine Schools Cyberfair. We had long days and long nights in sharing ideas on what we can put in the site and on how we can improve it's speed and stability. I, for one, even learned to use Adobe Flash for the sake of making it interactive. However, the thing that help us keep on going is thinking of it as a moment that we can share with each other before we enter the hidden ruins of college. Though the local competition did not commence, the group of our schoolmates for the Environmental Awareness won the Platinum Award in the International Schools Cyberfair.

JR's SOCIAL MEDIA EXPANSION
(May 2011 - present)
2011, besides from being a year of travel and leisure, is also the year of social media for JR as JR gave birth to the Official Facebook Page for JR Late Night Blogs last May 2011, JR updated his old Facebook profile to a new Facebook Timeline last September 2011, and JR used his Twitter in a daily basis starting July 2011. Last May 2011, JR expanded JR Late Night Blogs to Facebook giving his facebook fans an updated preview of his latest blogs. This was also his way to connect with his featured friends and buddy hall of famers. Last September 2011, JR updated his Facebook Profile to a Facebook Timeline. This was one of my most memorable social media experiences as it took me one week to make it as cool as possible, minimizing all game posts clutter and maximizing all my daily stories. Last July 2011, JR started using Twitter in a daily basis. Way back, May 2010, when JR started Twitter, he did not use it much as it is not that popular yet. However, when 2011 came, JR learned to value Twitter as it is where JR expressed his opinions about daily situations publicly.

JR's THE SIMS SOCIAL HIGH SCORE
(December 2011 - present)
JR's newest favorite Facebook game is The Sims Social - The Fastest Growing Facebook Game of All Time. JR started playing the game last September 2011, one month after it was released to the public. As soon as JR started engaging in different Sims activities, JR got addicted to it, updating it twice every morning and five times every night. Come December 2011, and JR surpassed all of his buddies as his house value reached almost 220K making him peak at #1. At present, JR's house value is now 321K, still the highest amongst all of his friends. As of now, JR still do not intend to stop playing it as new features makes JR come back and play for more.

JR's SLU CENTENNIAL MOMENT
(December 2011)
It's been 100 years since the school where I came from started. Saint Louis University celebrated its 100 years last December 2011. During the said activity, some students from Saint Louis University - Laboratory High School experienced a once in a lifetime celebration as they spent the whole morning at the university grounds. The celebration started with a mass and continued with different performances. There was also the unveiling of the SLU Timeline which JR participated in. Other than the festivities at the university, JR, as well as some of his schoolmates, took part in the Handog ng SLU sa Baguio as some of us also joined the 2nd SLU Run for Hope. JR also experienced being a part of the Lantern Parade for the first time. All-in-all, the SLU Centennial Celebration was extravagant and successful. Though this moment comes only once in a blue moon, JR will treasure every minute that he spent with it.

JR's III-SCIENCE CLASS ADVISER
(June 2010 - March 2011)
Ma'am Marissa Tablatin is My Most Memorable Teacher in my entire stay in high school. She has always been an inspiration to me to continue on moving no matter what challenges are on my way. Though sometimes I done wrong in class, she always helped me stand up, accept my wrong doings, and change for the better. I will always miss how she made each day of her class unique and different. Ma'am Marissa Tablatin is JR's final Most Memorable Moment of 2011.

OTHER NOTABLE 2011 MOMENTS
JR's PROJECT CITIZEN MOMENT (January 2011-April 2011)
>>> Though not that memorable, this experience tested my patience with my classmates as this was the time when I did not feel that I was a part of our section. Though our entry passed the regionals, it did not come as expected in the nationals. This experience, however, led us on imparting to others what is currently existing in our city for the past years and learning on how different municipalities are struggling with some problems existing within their borders. The thing that I will remember in this moment is the experience I had with some of my friends in traveling the business district of Metro Manila.
JR's SECOND IN ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE (March 2011)
>>> Kind of bitter about this but I will always remember how I did my best in high school.
JR's HARRY POTTER 7 (PART 2) EXPERIENCE (August 2011)
>>> After almost ten years since JR watched the first Harry Potter film on TV, JR witnessed the final chapter of the series last August 2011. Ever since the famous novel series took a chance in the big screen, JR had always been waiting for each film to be shown on TV. But now, as the final film in the series hit the cinemas last August 2011 in the Philippines, JR took the chance with some of his buddies to watch the film. And surprisingly, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Part 2) became the Third Highest Grossing Film of All Time (behind Avatar and Titanic) with $,1,327,655,619. Good thing, JR was part of the entire human populace who watched a film that grossed more than a billion dollars. Probably, The Most Successful and Most Popular Movie Series in History, JR places Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Part 2) as one of his Notable Moments in 2011.
JR's IV-SCIENCE CHRISTMAS PARTY (December 2011)
>>> This was my last Christmas Party in High School. As we all know, we Filipinos celebrate Christmas for 5 months, but it not does not become memorable if we don't celebrate it with the people whom we love the most - our friends and family. JR's IV-Science Christmas Party is My Most Memorable Christmas Party to date.
JR's NEW YEAR FESTIVITIES (December 2011 - January 2012)
>>> We always end a year of prosperity and happiness with the start of a new year of prosperity and happiness. Repetition? Well, that has always been the tradition for us, Filipinos. We celebrate with fireworks, with a table full of food and drinks, and with a TV which presents us how each city in our world celebrate New Year. The thing that makes every moment memorable is how we celebrate them with our friends and family. And yes, JR did, celebrate the New Year full of optimism and excitement.
