JR releases his first-ever Fictional Celebrities of the Year list; and Harry Potter leads it. It has been a decade of Harry Potter; and it can be rightfully named that Harry Potter will have the title Fictional Celebrity of the Year 2011 as it is the year when his adventures and stories finally ended. This might be his first and final appearance in this type of list as a lot of new fictional characters who are contenders for next year's #1 spot are emerging like those coming from The Twilight Saga and The Hunger Games novels. On the other hand, the list was dominated by popular TV fiction characters with nine entries namely Peter Griffin (#2), Dr. House (#3), Walden Schmidt (#6), Homer Simpson (#7), Chuck Bass (#8), Will Schuester (#9), Kurt Hummel (#12), Spongebob Squarepants (#13), and Mickey Mouse (#20). We also have two entries from the video game industry - Samantha from Cityville (#15) and Captain Alex Mason from Call of Duty: Black Ops (#11). Only one notorious Halloween character made this year's list. John Kramer, who was recently named JR's Fictional Celebrity of Halloween 2011, enters this year's list at #5. This is JR's first-ever list so all fictional celebrities are treated as New Members in JR's Fictional Celebrities of the Year list. It's now the time for all of fiction's elite celebrities to be revealed.

METHODOLOGY
The JR Late Night Fictional Celebrities of the Year list is a yearly list in JR Late Night Blogs which lists the Most Popular, Most Powerful, Most Controversial, and Most Influential Celebrities of the Fictional Universe basing on News Rank (25%), YouTube Rank (10%), Web Rank (30%), Social Media Rank (25%), Google Rank (10%) and JR's Fictional Rank. News Rank is based from the total number of related articles of a particular fictional celebrity from Google News. YouTube Rank is based from the total number of spoof videos of each fictional celebrities in YouTube. Web Rank is based from the total number of Google Blog Search search results of the fictional celebrity within the whole time frame of the past month. Another basis is the Social Media Rank which is based from the over-all total of Facebook Fans and Twitter Followers of the fictional celebrity. Google Rank is a special basis of finding the top celebrities since it considers the total number of search results of a particular fictional celebrity in Google for the past year. JR's Fictional Rank was used as a balancer in cases of ties and other situations. The ranks (except for JR's Fictional Rank) accumulated would then be processed using an algorithm made by JR; the lower the rank score, the better the chances of getting a high rank. In the selection of fictional celebrities, JR chose fictional characters coming from all forms of media and culture - TV, Movie, Music, Video Game, Mythology, Fiction Books, Novels, and Popular Culture. All data were as of the time range: 01 January 2011 - 31 December 2011.
