A great month to start up another celebrity list with Lady Gaga leading the list for the fifth consecutive list of JR's Celebrity Lists...
You know, after the NBA Finals, after Lady Gaga released her Born This Way Album, after Katy Perry's Last Friday Night music video and after Johnny Depp's Pirates of the Caribbean, Matt Damon's Adjustment Bureau and Ryan Murphy's The Glee Project.
And for the second consecutive month, musicians dominated the list of the Elite with Lady Gaga leading them; but the good thing is that two basketball superstars made up this month's list with Lebron James ranking as 2nd. The months of May and June are not just the time for music but also the time for the NBA Championships. The month of May was the greatest month of celebration to Lady Gaga as she was named by Forbes' as the World's Most Powerful Celebrity for the Year 2011. However, the month of May is the time for Oprah's last swan song on TV. But all of that is over, and now is the time for the latest Celebrity list release.
METHODOLOGY
The Late Night Celebrities of the Month list is a list in JR Late Night Blogs which is based from the Forbes' Yearly Celebrity 100 List. The Celebrities of the Month List lists the Most Powerful, Most Influential, Most Controversial and Most Popular Celebrities of the past month basing on Print Publicity (Press), Media Publicity (TV and Radio), Web Publicity, Facebook Popularity, Twitter Popularity, and Worldwide Recognition.
Press Rankings are based from the total number of related articles of a celebrity from
Google News.
Entertainment Rankings are based from the total number of mentions of that celebrity in
Yahoo! OMG,
TMZ, and
E! Entertainment.
Web Rankings are based from the total number of
Google blog search results of thecelebrity within the whole time frame of the past month. Another basis is the
Social Media Ranking which is based from the over-all total of
Facebook Fans and
Twitter Followers of a particular celebrity.
Worldwide Recognition Rankings is a special basis of finding the top celebrities since it considers the total number of search results of a particular celebrity in
Google for the past month.
JR's Ranking
was used as a balancer in cases of ties and other situations. The ranks accumulated would them be added to get the rank score; the lower the rank score, the better the chances of getting a high rank. All in all, there were a total of 20 candidates who are probable to be part of the list but only 15 of them will be recognized. All data were as of the time range: May 1, 2011 - June 14, 2011.
