Driven by a unflinching hate and resentment to destroy the father he has never known, Jin Kazama emerged as the victor. The eldest Mishima, Heihachi, enters the Hon-maru only to immediately gaze upon the unconscious body of his estranged and now defeated son, Kazuya. "What a pathetic wretch...You worthless coward!" So began the fated battle between Heihachi and Jin. Utterly consumed with the memory of Heihachi's vile betrayal 2 years early, Jin begins to manifest the Devil Blood he inherited from his father, Kazuya. Jin's black wings spread, Devil markings surface on his upper body. Heihachi, completely overwhelmed by Jin's inhuman strength and now defeated, can only prepare himself for his imminent death...

FULL STORY
(SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT!)

After the conclusion of King of Iron Fist Tournament 4, father Kazuya Mishima and son Jin Kazama, battle each other at Honmaru, located within the Mishima estate. Jin quickly beats his father. The eldest Mishima, Heihachi, enters Honmaru to find his son defeated and unconscious. Heihachi and Jin begin battling. During the battle, Jin begins to manifest the Devil he inherited from his father, Kazuya. Just as it appears that Jin will kill Heihachi, Jin suddenly has a vision of his mother, Jun Kazama, and regains himself. He tells Heihachi to "thank his mother" for not killing him. He flies away soon after.

Suddenly, a bunch of "JACK" robots interrupt the battle. Both Kazuya and Heihachi are surprised at the attack, and begin battling as a team against the invasion. During the battle, however, Kazuya betrays his father, throws him into the path of the army of robots, and escapes. Seconds later, a robot explodes, destroying Honmaru. Raven, watching on top of the cliff, speaks into a headphone, reports, "Heihachi Mishima...is dead."

Meanwhile, Jin Kazama's Devil Gene is going berserk, and he decides to search for the one responsible for the change by entering the tournament. Kazuya also enters to find out exactly who in G Corporation sent the Jack-4's to kill him, and take his revenge.

As Jin and Kazuya progress through the tournament, the secret sponsor is finally revealed: Jinpachi Mishima, the father of Heihachi and who has been missing for the past fifty years. As it turns out, Jinpachi is the founder of the Mishima Zaibatsu and was a respected martial arts master until his greedy son, Heihachi, stole the company from him and had him imprisoned underneath Hon-Maru after Jinpachi attempted a Coup d'état (Heihachi was steering the company into the military industry, something Jinpachi believed was not right). Jinpachi died soon afterwards of starvation, until the Devil took over his mind and granted him immortality (as well as a Devil Gene), and Jinpachi was finally freed from his prison when the Jack-4's destroyed Hon-Maru. As of now, the Devil Gene is slowly consuming Jinpachi's mind, and Jinpachi has announced the tournament in hopes that someone will kill him and put an end to his reign of terror before it even starts.

In the end, Jin makes it to the final, and faces his Devil-powered great-grandfather in combat. Ultimately, Jin manages to defeat Jinpachi, who dissolves into dust and disappears, his wish fulfilled. Jin is now the new owner of the Mishima Zaibatsu.

JR'S VIDEO GAME REVIEW

RATING BREAKDOWN:
Story = 10/10
Game Designs = 21/25
Minimal Glitches = 20/20
Graphics = 20/25
Sound = 20/20

AVERAGE GAME RATING: 9.4

I. STORY (10/10)
Tekken has always been the game of minor and major stories. With the many characters of the game, there are different storylines for each. There is an introductory storyline, there is a battle storyline, there is a pre-ending storyline, and there is an ending storyline. Considering that Tekken 5 has a total of 33 different playable characters, either in a single-player or multi-player mode, and it has 4 different storylines, Tekken has truly a lot of stories to share. Totally and definitely, JR loves how the Tekken creators continue the story of each character after each game sequel. This game must absolutely receive a 10 for its storyline.

II. GAME DESIGNS (23/25)
The game design is nice and very unique. However, one particular game element just stuck to the same old Tekken 4. There was not much improvement to the battle arenas, since it was like the improved battle arenas of Tekken 4 and 3. There was not much new to the gamer's eyes when we talk about this particular topic. What I liked about Tekken 5 is the new and enhanced way of redesigning the outfits of the playable characters, I wish there was a create a character mode in Tekken just like the Create a Superstar Mode in WWE Smackdown VS Raw. Anyways, all-in-all the game is much and I mean much better than Tekken 4.

III. MINIMAL GLITCHES (20/20)
Tekken is a fighting game and a game of minimal glitches. There are not much glitches in the Tekken series from its first release (Tekken 1) to its current release (Tekken 6: Bloodline Revolution).

IV. GRAPHICS (23/25)
The game had used a lot of CGI graphics, from the different battle arenas to the different playable characters in the game. There is not much new, however, to the characters; as they were still wearing the same outfit they wore from the game prequels. However, the game had a huge leap in the fighting genre of the video game industry since it used the new redesigning of the character's looks and outfits (as I have mentioned in my review on the Game Designs). That new game feature is what I quote as "The Best New Game Enhancement in Video Game Fighting History". I also liked how each of the storylines in the game are not just the regular Windows Movie Maker or the regular Steven Spielberg film or the regular Jerry Bruckheimer TV show, the game had used great game graphics for each of the character's storylines. Great job, Tekken creators.

V. SOUND (18/20)
I actually am very aware of the sounds the Tekken game used from its very first release to its current release. I always remember the background sound (or music) that is played when you are fighting against Marshall Law. (hehe...) I also remember the sound played when Hwaorang fights. Nice, isn't it? I would very much commend on how the sound plays in the exact movements of each character. It is another improvement since I noticed that in the previous game releases, the sound sometimes come late after the movements.

VI. JR'S FINAL COMMENT
Tekken has always been my favorite video game in terms of the Fighting Genre. Ever since it was released in the PlayStation1 console, I already am addicted on collecting and finishing each of the game series. Now, as years pass by and until a decade passed by, Tekken has now reached a new ultimate momentum in history as it is the only game, with Final Fantasy, to have a game release in each of the known video game consoles. I had been excited with the release of Tekken 5 and Tekken 6 since I want to see what's new with the sequels of the game. I sometimes play in the Quantum Game Amusement Center in SM, somewhat like the place of arcade games here in our city, since I could not afford to buy a Tekken 6: Bloodline Revolution game.
