"A More Traditional Sense of Love"

Love is kind but love is most definitely patient. Ang Babaeng Allergic sa Wifi is definitely one of the better romantic comedies this millenial generation would relate too. Much with the technology existing in this world, expression of love evolved with it through social media exposure and publicity.

Norma is suffering from a rare disorder of Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity, a disorder which causes allergic reaction upon exposure to wifi (or any form of cellular signal). With Norma forced to live in a "wifi-absent" provincial set-up with her lola still living with the past, her boyfriend, Leo, struggles to balance time towards visiting her and towards her basketball lifestyle. Aries, Leo's brother, on the contrary, gives all the possible time he has with Norma to make her feel loved and happy.

While science is still indifferent with the existence of such disorder, the movie makes good use of the idea what if it did exist. In what is probably the best acting performance by Sue Ramirez and Jameson Blake in a movie, Ang Babaeng Allergic sa Wifi is definitely worth giving all the praise as it exceeded expectations by being relatable and also thought-provoking in a much online generation we are in. As much as I expected a happy ever after ending in what seems to be an exciting kilig story for both Norma and Aries, I can't help myself feel torn and heartbroken by such a devastating plot twist that caught me off guard.
