Plot:
Last time we see saw Bella Swan she was narrowly escaping the clutches of the evil vampire James while finding love with ''vegetarian'' vampire Edward Cullen. Bella and Edward's lives have been full of nothing but love and bliss however, it all changes one fateful day. On Bella's birthday, her new found friend and sister of Edward, Alice, decides to throw her lavish party, complete with balloons, ribbons and cake that could feed an army. All is well until Bella accidentally cuts her finger whilst opening a present. The result is that Jasper Hale, the newest addition to the Cullen clan, succumbs to his blood lust and attacks Bella. Edward decides that while he and his family are around, Bella's life will always be at risk. So he decides to leave her for her own good. Bella feels her life is over. Enter Jacob Black, a member of the Quilite tribe who manages to bring some joy and meaning back into Bella's life. However as the two become closer, Bella discovers Jacob has a secret of his own- he's a werewolf. As if that wasn't bad enough Bella can't seem to get the love of her life, Edward out of her mind. With new dangers, new friends and new enemies, Bella finds herself choosing between holding on to the past or accepting a new future. But what and more importantly who will she choose? 1. Catherine Hardwicke, director of Twilight (2008/I), the first movie in the Twilight Saga, was set to be the director of 'New Moon' as well. Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts, Hardwicke had to back out.
2. After months of speculation and rumors, director Chris Weitz and the novel's author, Stephenie Meyer, confirmed on her official website that Taylor Lautner would be reprising his role as Jacob Black. It was doubted as the filmmakers feared he would not be able to become fit enough in time. However, he was given the go-ahead after gaining 26 pounds of muscle.
3. Each member of the wolf pack had to have papers proving their Native decent. Spencer is Lakota (Sioux), Pelletier is Cree-Metis, Meraz is Purepecha (Tarasco), Gordon is Hualapai, and Houseman, who was discovered at an open casting call, is Cree.
4. Actors of the wolf pack went through "wolf camp" together to get buff and bond with each other.
5. Shares filming location of Montepulciano, Italy with Diane Lane's romantic comedy Under the Tuscan Sun (2003) and the coming of age/study abroad documentary Di passaggio (2009), directed by James Kicklighter.

GOOFS
1. Continuity: While Bella and Edward are embracing each other right after they met up in Volterra and are interrupted, Edward's body is not completely "whited-out", only his face is. This is going on the entire time he is speaking to someone in the Volturi. His face is extremely pale, but his neck and abdomen are the color of a human being.
2. Continuity: After fighting with the Volturi, Edward's robe changes between being tied closed and completely open.
3. Continuity: Bella's hair color changes frequently. In some shots it is clearly black, whilst in others it is Bella's normal brown.
4. Revealing mistakes: When Jacob tries to wipe the blood from Bella's head with his shirt, the blood doesn't smear or run at all, as if it was painted on or drawn on with a marker.
5. Crew or equipment visible: During the scene after Edward leaves when Bella is sitting in the chair in front of the window. As the camera spins around Bella the first time, you can see someone in the mirror.
6. Incorrectly regarded as goofs: Bella is said to be immune to vampires' special abilities as highlighted when facing the Volturi, however, Jasper is able to control her mood in regards to her birthday party. However, her immunity is to powers that effect the mind, whereas Jasper's powers effect emotions.
7. Continuity: In the scene wear Jacob climbs through the window to visit Bella in her room she is wearing a tan/white long-sleeve shirt. In the morning when she wakes up her shirt is green.
8. Continuity: At the birthday party at the Cullens, Rosalie gives Bella a wrapped present telling her it's a necklace, but Bella doesn't open the present, or appear to put it down anywhere before Alice passes her the present from Emmett, which Bella is holding with both hands when she shakes it
9. Factual errors: Bella and Alice fly from Seattle to Italy on a Virgin America Airbus A320. Virgin America only flies domestic flights within USA.
10. Continuity: In the scene where Bella is driving to school, after receiving her birthday gift from Charlie, the radio states "Another missing hiker bring the total to three presumed dead. Rangers are searching for the killer animal..." It doesn't match up with the time they are actually missing. The hikers (which are being killed by Victoria) don't come up missing until after the Cullens leave Forks, hence why the werewolves start turning.
