Super Pumpkins are a temporary crop available to farmers who are fans of the Farmville Fan Page on Facebook. The crop was originally available until February 2nd, 2010. There is now some confusion as to availability as it now states the crop will be available until 11:59 PM EST on January 29, 2010. However, this time frame will be extended to compensate for lost time while unavailability glitches are being fixed. They were offered as a reward for FarmVille hitting 15,000,000 fans. It is the first temporary crop that can be mastered. Before 01/28/2010, the sprites, when matured depicted one gigantic pumpkin per patch, which were later changed to four larger than normal pumpkins, and the Fertilized sprite maintaining the gigantic pumpkin.
