After a lonely summer on Privet Drive, Harry returns to a Hogwarts full of ill-fortune. Few of students and parents believe him or Dumbledore that Voldemort is really back. The ministry had decided to step in by appointing a new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher that proves to be the nastiest person Harry has ever encountered. Harry also can't help stealing glances with the beautiful Cho Chang. To top it off are dreams that Harry can't explain, and a mystery behind something Voldemort is searching for. With these many things Harry begins one of his toughest years at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

ACTORS

Harry Potter
DANIEL RADCLIFFE (portrayed Harry Potter)
Harry James Potter is the title character and the primary protagonist of J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter series. The main story of the books covers seven years in the life of the orphan who, on his eleventh birthday, learns he is a wizard. He attends Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to learn magic under the guidance of the kind headmaster Albus Dumbledore. Harry also discovers that he is already famous throughout the wizarding world, and that his fate is tied with that of Lord Voldemort, the universally feared Dark wizard who killed Harry's mother and father.

Ron Weasley
RUPERT GRINT (portrayed Ron Weasley)
Ronald Bilius "Ron" Weasley is a fictional character and one of the three protagonists (the other two being Harry Potter and Hermione Granger) in the Harry Potter book series written by J. K. Rowling. His first appearance was in the first book of the series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone as the best friend of Harry Potter and Hermione Granger. He is a member of the Weasley family, a pure blood family, who reside in "The Burrow" outside Ottery St. Catchpole. Along with Harry and Hermione, he is a member of the Gryffindor house. Ron is present in most of the action throughout the series due to his friendship with Harry.

Hermione Granger
EMMA WATSON (portrayed Hermione Granger)
Hermione Jean Granger is a fictional character and one of the three protagonists (the other two being Harry Potter and Ron Weasley) in J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter series. She initially appears in the first novel, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, as a new student on her way to Hogwarts. After being saved in the girls' bathroom from a mountain troll by Harry and Ron, she becomes close friends with them and often uses her quick wit and encyclopedic knowledge to help them. Rowling has stated that Hermione resembles her at a younger age, with her insecurity and fear of failure.

Dolores Umbridge
IMELDA STAUNTON (portrayed Dolores Umbridge)
Dolores Jane Umbridge is the Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, of which she is the primary antagonist. Her first name means "pains" in Spanish, and her last name is a play on the word umbrage, meaning "a feeling of anger or annoyance". She is a short, squat woman described in the book as resembling a large pale toad, with "short, curly, mouse-brown hair". She speaks with a quiet, childish, high-pitched voice, and she loves kittens and other cute things, decorating her office with related paraphernalia. She has a tendency to speak to people she feels are her lessers in a very condescending tone, as if they are simpletons or very young children.

Albus Dumbledore
MICHAEL GAMBON (portrayed Albus Dumbledore)
Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore is a major protagonist in J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series. For most of the series, he is the headmaster of the wizarding school Hogwarts. As part of his back-story, it is revealed that he is the founder and leader of the Order of the Phoenix, an organisation dedicated to fighting the main antagonist of the series, Lord Voldemort. Rowling stated she chose the name Dumbledore, which is an Early Modern English word for "bumblebee", because she "imagined him walking around humming to himself".

Lord Voldemort
RALPH FIENNES (portrayed Lord Voldemort)
Lord Voldemort is the primary antagonist of the Harry Potter series written by British author J. K. Rowling. Voldemort first appeared in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (published as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the United States), which was released in 1997. Voldemort appeared either in person or in flashbacks in each book and film adaptation in the series, except the third, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, where he is only mentioned. In the series, Voldemort is the archenemy of Harry Potter, who according to a prophecy has "the power to vanquish the Dark Lord". Voldemort's obsession with blood purity signifies his aim to rid the Wizarding world of Muggle (non-magical) heritage and to conquer both worlds, Muggle and Wizarding, to achieve pure-blood dominance. Almost no witch or wizard dares to speak his name, instead referring to him as "You-Know-Who", "He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named" or the "Dark Lord". He was born Tom Marvolo Riddle, the last descendant of wizard Salazar Slytherin, one of the four founders of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Bellatrix Lestrange
HELENA BONHAM-CARTER (portrayed Bellatrix Lestrange)
Bellatrix Lestrange is the first female Death Eater introduced in the books, and one of the most faithful members of Voldemort's inner circle. She is described as being highly attractive yet gaunt due to her time in Azkaban and described as having long, straight black hair and dark heavily lidded eyes. Bellatrix is portrayed as paranoid, mentally unstable and fanatically devoted to Voldemort. Despite her apparent mental instability, she is a witch of prodigious ability, as demonstrated by all her victories in duels against other characters, and as noted by Harry in the final book.

Sirius Black
GARY OLDMAN (portrayed Sirius Black)
Sirius Black, nicknamed Padfoot, is the last heir to the House of Black, a once notable pure-blood Wizarding family. He is the brother of Regulus Arcturus Black (who went by the initials R.A.B.) and cousin to Bellatrix Lestrange. He rejected his family's pure-blood elitism and reverence for the Dark Arts. In contrast to his home life, Sirius greatly enjoyed life at Hogwarts. He was proud of the fact that he was the only Black to be sorted into Gryffindor. He was inseparable from his best friend James 'Prongs' Potter and befriended Remus 'Moony' Lupin and Peter 'Wormtail' Pettigrew. Sirius, along with James, bullied Snape, nicknaming him "Snivellus", from his first name, Severus, while they were at school. Sirius left home at the age of sixteen and took refuge with James and his parents. His outraged mother burned his name off the family tree, but he was left financially independent by his Uncle Alphard's generous bequest (hence Alphard's name was burnt off as well). After leaving school, he remained close friends with James and eventually attended James and Lily's wedding as best man. When Harry was born, the Potters name Sirius as his Godfather. Unlike most of the other Azkaban prisoners, Sirius was able to keep his sanity because he knew he was innocent.

TRIVIAS

Dario Marianelli was considered as a possible composer for this film.
Evanna Lynch beat 15000 girls and 29 finalists for the role of Luna. When it came to viewing the finalists, she was the ninth person in the audition videos and one of the producers, David Barron stopped viewing after her saying, "She is Luna." Unknown to them, Lynch actually wrote a letter directly to J.K. Rowling.
The Department of Mysteries was the first completely computer-generated set used in the series. Building the set practically was too expensive since an estimated 15000 crystal balls would have been needed, and it would have taken take a lot of time to clean and set them up again between takes.
Imelda Staunton was the producer's only choice for the role of Umbridge. She and costume designer Jany Temime came up with the idea of making her dress more padded and more saturated as the film progresses. The novel describes her being physically chubby and like a toad.
The Room of Requirement was described as a room with no beginning or end. To achieve the sense of infinity, the effects crew spent 5 months designing the room by having rotatable mirrors installed that would minimize camera and crew reflection as well as to avoid the Hall of Mirrors effect (a common term in CG). Also, the lighting underneath the grille was quite bright to generate reflection, so the floor had to be in black, cast members had to have black velvet covering their shoe soles while the crew had to wear surgical shoes to prevent treading dust onto the floor set.
 Fake working title: 'Tip-Top'.
Professor Umbridge, though she teaches in a classroom that has appeared in films two through four, inhabits an office vastly different from those of her predecessors. The set was redressed with "fluffy, pink filigree," including a carpet that cost £50,000 to make, and a number of plates upon which moving kittens were animated in post-production. A 24-hour photo shoot was held to photograph and film the kittens for use on these plates. Even the elegant quill which Umbridge gives Harry to write lines using his own blood was designed by the set designers.
Helen McCrory was originally cast as Bellatrix Lestrange, but due to pregnancy she had to be replaced by Helena Bonham Carter. McCrory was later cast as Narcissa Malfoy, who is Bellatrix's sister, in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009).
The radish earrings worn by Luna Lovegood were actually made by Evanna Lynch (the actress portraying her).
Mira Nair and Jean-Pierre Jeunet were approached to direct the film. Both declined. Jeunet prefers projects that allow him more creative influence.
The character of Grawp was done by using a recent breakthrough in film technology, developed by Image Metrics, which allows a computer to map an actor's performance onto any character virtual or human, living or dead. The result is said to be far superior to standard hand-drawn computer graphics which are very costly and time-consuming.
Release prints were delivered to theaters with the fake title 'The Raven'.
During the breakfast scene in the Great Hall, boxes of cereal can be seen with the names Cheeri-Owls and Pixie-Puffs, with color schemes similar to those of Cheerios and Sugar Puffs boxes, respectively.
According to the original script, the character of Kreacher was not intended to be in this film at all. But after J.K. Rowling read the script, she more or less insisted on him needing to be there to avoid some serious problems with future installments of the series. Though Kreacher has no noticeable impact on the plot or story as it's presented in the film, a couple of scenes with him were added at the last minute based on this request.
Daniel Radcliffe came up with the idea that, as a gesture of respect to a teacher that Harry most certainly looked up to, he would wear a certain type of clothes that resemble the outfit worn by Prof. Lupin in his lessons from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004), during his teachings. The director liked the suggestion, so that became the basis for his look during those scenes.
In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002), when Ron is rescuing Harry from the Dursleys', Ron tells Harry that they were "rescuing you of course". In this film, Moody says the same thing when he rescues Harry.
Broke the Wednesday opening day record previously held by Spider-Man 2 (2004) with a 44.2 million dollar domestic gross.
Was released in 4,181 US theaters, a record for a Warner Bros. release.
Had the biggest IMAX opening ever, pulling in $1.9 million.
Harry's, Ron's and Hermione's signatures for the Dumbledore's Army roster are the same signatures seen in the US version of the books.
The most expensive set was the 200 foot-long hallway in the Ministry of Magic.
In the scene where Harry, Ron, and Hermione are discussing Harry's kiss with Cho, the three begin to crack up near the end of the scene. This was all real laughter from the three actors. The director thought it was good for the scene and kept rolling.
Had the biggest first-day gross of a "Harry Potter" movie.
Many Harry Potter fans went to see Happy Feet (2006) just to see a trailer for this film.
Padfoot, Sirius Black's canine alter-ego, was played by a Scottish Deerhound named Cleod.
The portrait in Dumbledore's office that he addresses as "Phineas" is in fact Phineas Nigellus Black, great-grandfather of Sirius Black and, by extension, Bellatrix Lestrange and Narcissa Malfoy; as well as being great-great-grandfather to Draco Malfoy and Nymphadora Tonks.
Much of the Ministry of Magic Atrium set design was based on the designs of London Underground.
Since this film would include wand dueling at an elite level, a specific "wand choreographer" (Paul Harris, who is actually a professional dance choreographer) was brought in to design the style and technique of this highly unorthodox way of fighting. The result consists of five basic spell-casting moves, which each of the actors were then allowed to adapt slightly to fit their own character. So, for instance, Lucius Malfoy would have a very formal and somewhat 'stiff' fighting style, while Sirius Black uses a snappy and more spontaneous 'street fight' style.
The set used for Igor Karkaroff's trial scene in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005) was doubled in size for Harry's trial in this film, while still protecting its symmetry.
J.K. Rowling provided over 70 names for the Black family tree tapestry, complete with details of relations between each and every member, whose were to be scorched and so on.
In the Atrium of the Ministry of Magic, many offices are seen layered upon each other. In reality, there are only two layers (floors), but at different times, different people were filmed doing different things in the offices and later with the help of computer animation, put together to get the illusion of several layers of office.
Kenneth Branagh was originally set to return as Prof. Gilderoy Lockheart in a brief cameo. Originally, Harry was to encounter his former professor in an insane asylum while visiting Ron's dad Arthur Weasley at St. Mungo's. The scene was meant to establish Lockheart as irrevocably scarred from his backfired curse in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002), as well as the insanity of Neville's parents after being tortured by Bellatrix Lestrange. The scene was cut for pacing and budget issues, as it would have necessitated building a new set.
The walls of Professor Umbridge's office are covered with kitten plates. In the image on one of the plates, the wall behind the kitten has a kitten plate on it.
In late 2005, Anna Friel lobbied for the role of Tonks so that she can work with her real-life partner David Thewlis. She was turned down by the producers.
The studio considered moving the entire production out to Barradov in Prague from Leavesden to take advantage of its incentives but the move was vetoed by Alan Radcliffe and David Heyman, primarily on security issues.
When Sirius joins Harry in the room with the Black family tree, to the lower left of the door is a Starbucks logo. The "siren" (a mermaid with two tails) has been stylized to be in keeping with the decor of the room, but she is wearing a crown and holding both her fins aloft like the Starbucks logo.
Dumbledore's line "Don't fight him, Harry, you can't win" was featured prominently in just about every trailer and TV-spot, yet it is nowhere in the final version of the film, nor in the DVD's extended scenes.
Branko Tomovic auditioned for the part of the Azkaban Death Eater, after he was seen in the Serbian-German film Love of Fate (2005) opposite Predrag Bjelac who played Igor Karkaroff in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005). Branko was not cast in Harry Potter but he was later given the lead part in the British short Inbetween (2008/I) which was also produced by Harry Potter producer David Barron.
Although based on the longest book in the seven book series, this is the shortest movie in the Harry Potter film series.
When they discover the Room of Requirement, Ron asks if it could become a bathroom if the user really needed it. This is a reference to the novel 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire'. In it, the Room of Requirement is mentioned for the first time, having become a lavatory for Dumbledore.
The only Harry Potter film not written by Steve Kloves.
Even though they play enemies in this movie, Emma Thompson and Imelda Staunton are very good friends, have appeared together in many films, and even live opposite each other.
Rose Windsor, a member of the British Royal Family, worked - and is credited as - an Art Department Assistant on this film. Her wedding to a member of the Royal Family was featured in OK! magazine - largely due to Prince William Windsor's girlfriend Kate Middleton attending her wedding. She specifically asked to be credited on Harry Potter as 'Rose Windsor' rather than her full Royal title.
The first Harry Potter film to be released in IMAX 3-D.
Final cinema film of Timothy Bateson.
Several members of the Black family are named after astronomical objects. You can see some of the names in the scene when Sirius and Harry are in the family tree room. Sirius, Regulus, Andromeda, Arcturus, Bellatrix, and Cygnus are the ones that can be seen.
The fifth of eight movies based on the Harry Potter book series by J.K. Rowling.
Dumbledore's Army first meets at the Hog's Head Inn, there is a bartender accompanied by a goat, played by Jim McManus, and credited as "Barman." This character is later identified as Aberforth Dumbledore, the Professor's younger brother. This character returns in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011), and is played by Ciarán Hinds.
When Dumbledore's Army first meets at the Hog's Head Inn, there is a bartender accompanied by a goat, played by Jim McManus, and credited as "Barman." This character is later identified as Aberforth Dumbledore, the Professor's younger brother. This character returns in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011), and is played by Ciarán Hinds.
J.K. Rowling had been a schoolteacher before writing the Potter books, and this film features some references to the British educational system. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, students at age 16 were given Ordinary Level (O-Level) exams in all their major subjects, for which they can receive their General Certificate of Education. This corresponds to the Ordinary Wizarding Level (O.W.L.) exams given at Hogwarts. Students who planned to go on to university stayed on two more years to take their Advanced (A-Level) Exams, which roughly correspond to N.E.W.T. (Nastily Exhausting Wizarding Test) Exams.
The family of English footballer Theo Walcott make a cameo in this movie. Theo himself was due to appear, but his commitments to Arsenal F.C. made it impossible.
The character of Nigel was created strictly for the movie; he does not appear in the books. However, he combines elements of Colin Creevey and Dennis Creevey.
Since Alastor Moody (Brendan Gleeson) has a prosthetic leg, he could not balance properly on broomstick, being unable to use the stirrups. Instead, his broom has posts at the front where he rests his legs, a seat which allows him to lean backwards, and a control stick for his hands. The arrangement is very similar to automobiles made for double-amputees, which have hand controls instead of pedals.
CAMEO: [Timothy Spall] Reprising his role of Peter Pettigrew (Wormtail), seen only in the moving photograph of the original Order.
SPOILER ALERT!!! This film marks the second time in the Saw series that someone other than Jigsaw (in this case Hoffman) says "Game Over" in the movie's climax.
SPOILER ALERT!!! Daniel Radcliffe can't tolerate contact lenses, so in the scene where Harry is possessed, his eyes are digitally changed.
SPOILER ALERT!!! Originally the death of Sirius Black appeared just as it does in the novel, with Bellatrix pushing him through the death archway after a longer one-on-one duel. Though filmed, the sequence was cut due to time and pacing issues. A portion of this original death scene remains in the final film: when hit with the killing curse, Sirius inexplicably floats backward though the arch.
SPOILER ALERT!!! Harry's scream at the Department of Mysteries was cut out because it was too agonizing.
SPOILER ALERT!!! Though the Mirror of Erised doesn't appear on the novel it turns up in the movie. It can be seen during Harry's possession by Voldemort and when Harry draws closer to the mirror his face is shown distorted with some of the Dark Lord's features. David Yates and Stuart Craig decided to use it as there as one more example of the many appeals to objects and shots from previous movies on the series.

GOOFS

I.REVEALING MISTAKES (7 Goofs)
At the Hog's Head, Zacharias Smith says the line 'The point is, where's the proof?' While he's saying them, the camera is on Harry and you can see him mouthing 'where's the proof?'.
In multiple shots throughout the movie you can clearly see that Harry's glasses have no lenses in them.
When Harry and Mr. Weasley are entering the phone box which leads to the Ministry of Magic, at the end of the street several pedestrians are already crossing the road, while the traffic lights for the street are green in the beginning, and switch to red later.
During the first "D.A." training/meeting, harness and wires are visible as characters are thrown back after being struck by a spell.
The scars put on Harry's *left* hand by Umbridge's special quill keep switching hands between shots.
During the hearing, when Mrs. Figg has just described the dementors, and Fudge starts talking again, there is a close-up of Harry, with no scar.
When Nigel blasts Harry backwards, the retraction line pulling him is briefly visible, as is his safety harness.

IIFACTUAL ERRORS (1 Goof)
When Mr Weasley can't get through the gates at the Tube station Harry offers to let him use his Oyster card. Once an Oyster card is used to enter the transit system it can't be used again until it is swiped at an exit gate. So the card would have let Mr. Weasley in but then Harry would not have been able to enter with the same card.

IIIERRORS MADE BY CHARACTERS (4 Goofs)
During Harry's trial, Fudge pronounces the name of the court as the "Wizenagamot"; the real name being the "Wizengamot". This could be intentional, to further underline Fudge's incompetence as Minister
After the kissing scene, Harry talks to his friends in the Common Room and Hermoine says Cho has been crying a lot lately due to stress. She mentions that Cho is worried about numerous things, including failing her O.W.L's. However, Cho is a 6th year student (one year ahead of Harry) and only 5th year students sits for O.W.L. exams.
Mad-Eye Moody tells Kingsley to take point as they escort Harry to headquarters, but throughout the flight Moody is in the lead. During the flight over the Thames River - just before the ferryboat - Kingsley can be seen to Harry's left. Moody should have told Kingsley to guard their flank.
SPOILER ALERT!!! Neville says that he never performed an Expelliarmus spell before, but in one of the previous Dark Arts trainings (within the sequence where Filch, Draco Malfoy & co. try to enter the Room of Requirement) he clearly performs one.

IVEQUIPMENT / CREW VISIBLE (1 Goof)
When Harry is first looking at the veil in the Department of Mysteries, bars of blueish light connected to either side of the arch are visible.

VAUDIO / VISUAL UNSYNCHRONIZED (2 Goofs)
When Lucius has Harry and company at wandpoint in the Department of Mysteries, Bellatrix Lestrange walks out from behind him. In the audio she is laughing maniacally and talking to Harry, but when you look at her, her mouth is barely moving. She mouths "He knows how to play" a full second after it is heard, and her mouth moves at a much slower pace. She also has a deadpan expression on her face, not the maniacal face you would expect her to have while laughing like that.
SPOILER ALERT!!! In the scene near the end when Harry and Luna are having a chat, when Luna says '...if not always in the way we expect', she is not moving her lips at all.

VICONTINUITY (23 Goofs)
When Harry and friends are riding in a cart from the Hogwarts Express station to Hogwarts, in a shot from behind, Luna Lovegood's head is facing to her left. In the following reverse angle, her head is facing to her right.
When Harry is fighting off the Dementors, he produces a patronus and his wand is pointing at the Dementor that attacked him. When the scene cuts to Dudley on the ground, Harry's wand is at his side. When it cuts back to Harry, his wand is pointing at the dementor again.
In Professor Umbridge's first class, she gives them all books, then proceeds to tell the class what to expect. During her speech, several of the students's books - particularly Ron's - switch positions from being examined by the students to being flat on the desk. The position of the books repeatedly switches positions as the camera angles switch.
In the Department of Mysteries scene, when Lucius is approaching the six students, in one shot he has his wand out, and in the next shot it's back in his cane.
In the scene when Harry has to write lines for Umbridge, you clearly see him put his hand on the desk, then when the shot changes to a front view his hand is down by his side, and then when it changes back it is on the table again.
While discussing the newspaper at #12 Grimmauld Place, Harry alternates between holding the newspaper and laying it flat on his plate, depending on the angle of the shot.
During the scene where Harry meets Ron and Hermione at the headquarters, Hermoine's hair changes position. In the first shot Hermione's hair is behind her left shoulder, and in the next it is in front.
When Harry reports to Dolores Umbridge's office for discipline, she straightens a single crookedly placed pen on her desk. Later in the scene, the pens are no longer all in alignment.
During the O.W.L. examination proctored by Dolores Umbridge, the large clock pendulum in the background fails to swing with uniformity between shots.
When Harry, Hermione, Ron and Neville are in the carriage with Luna her hair is curly, yet in the next scene (what would be shortly after) her hair is completely straight.
When Sirius hands Harry the photo of the Order of the Phoenix, Sirius' arm changes from the top of the bench to the seat of the bench.
When Harry is asleep during his first night at Hogwarts, he is wearing a striped, light blue T-shirt. But when he has a vision of Voldemort and sits up in bed, his shirt is now solid dark blue with buttons.
During the first Occlumency lesson, Snape is only wearing his frock coat, but after he uses Legillimency on Harry the second time during the lesson, he briefly appears wearing his full set of robes.
In the veil room in the Department of Mysteries, when Harry tells the others to get behind him, we see Ginny stand directly behind Harry with Ron to her right. In the next shot when the Death Eaters arrive and swarm over them, Ron and Ginny have swapped positions in the formation.
In the exchange of presents at the Phoenix Headquarters, Mrs. Weasley is handing over two presents to Fred and George. Firstly, the red parcel is in her right hand and the green parcel is in her left. In the next shot, they are in the other hands.
When Mr. & Mrs. Dursley put Dudley into the car to take him to hospital, the hanging basket near the door has mostly white flowers. Later that same evening when they prepare to take flight, they are now red, not white.
In one of Harry's Occlumency lessons with Professor Snape, the window behind Harry has long vertical bars. When the camera pans out of the room, those bars are not there.
After Hermione rings the bell on the bicycle handle, they pan to Grawp and he is now holding the bicycle handle and rings the bell. We never see Hermione give it back, or Grawp take it back.
When Harry and Mr. Weasley are trying to operate the ticket turnstile Harry pulls their tickets out of his jacket pocket once. Then when the camera angle changes Harry can be seen pulling out their tickets a second time.
During Umbridge's first lesson she uses her wand to write out the OWL acronym on the chalkboard. In the initial shot the three words take up the majority of the board. However, in the shots following, the words are considerably smaller and further to the right.
When Dumbledore says 'Don't you all have studying to do!?', the door alternates between being wide open and closed, several times through the scene.
SPOILER ALERT!!! When Luna Lovegood is attacked, there is blood by her mouth. When she is held by a Death Eater, the blood is missing from a brief shot.
SPOILER ALERT!!! During the final Battle in the Department of Mysteries, in the shot swooping over the battle, where Bellatrix Lestrange is heard laughing, you see Moody in the bottom right of the shot, and he is clearly dueling with two Death Eaters, but in the next shot a single Death Eater runs out of the rocks, and attacks Moody, yet Moody is not engaged with any other Death Eaters.

VII. INCORRECTLY REGARDED AS GOOFS
When Harry and Mr Weasley are descending into the Ministry, using the visitors' entrance, only the inside of the phone box in the street moves. When the scene cuts to the interior of the Ministry, they're in a complete phone box. However, if you look closely you can see that there is in fact a frame moving inside the original phone box, clearly it is a double. Otherwise, guests would have been in danger of falling off.
In Ms. Umbridge's potions lesson the camera pans out over the classroom after she has said something and there is the sound of a pencil being dropped on the floor, when students at Hogwarts only use quills. However, this could simply be a dropped wand, as this is the sound we hear when this happens elsewhere in the movie.
The Levicorpus spell has different functions in the movie than it does in the book.
Only a few characters can see the thestrals, but anyone can ride them, just as a blind person can ride an ordinary horse. This is how so many students can ride the thestrals to London.
Umbridge punishes Harry for an outburst where he claims that Voldemort killed Cedric Diggory in the previous film, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005). Cedric Diggory was really killed by Peter Pettigrew (Wormtail), but only after a direct order from Lord Voldemort. Voldemort is analogous to Adolf Hitler, who did not personally carry out his killings.

I. SEX AND NUDITY
>> Harry and  kiss, later described as wet, most likely due to the fact that she was crying.

>> Harry and friends practice defensive spells which are pretty intense.
>> Harry has a dream of a main character, who he knows (Mr. Weasley), being brutally attacked by Voldemort's large pet snake. (Quite a bit of blood is shown).
>> The last 20 minutes of the movie earn its PG-13 rating. Lots of wizard battling with wands. (some blood is shown)
>> Harry and Sirius battle 2 main villians, a third one comes along and kills Sirius with "Avada Kedavara" which throws him backwards and he disappears slowly and eerily in an ancient magic archway. Harry and Sirius were very close.
>> Harry chases Bellatrix Lestrange and hits her with the torture curse and is in such a rage he appears on the brink of killing her. Voldemort taunts Harry to murder her during this part.

>> Occlumency lessons where Snape tries to teach Harry to shield his mind are intense and fastpaced with lots of flashing images.
>> Voldemort tries to posses Harry, causing Harry great agony; he writhes and screams on the floor while his friends watch on helplessly and Dumbledore tries to help him, and his eyes blaze frighteningly and demonically, while Voldemort's voice issues from Harry's mouth. There are a lot of disturbing flashing images during this sequence (Voldemort posing demonically and laughing and taunting Harry, Voldemort's head on Harry's body when he looks in a mirror, the deaths of a some characters, and other frightening imagery) , and it is quite prolonged. Harry eventually forces Voldemort from his mind and Voldemort is torn quite violently from Harry's chest.

JR's MOVIE REVIEW

RATING BREAKDOWN:
Movie Plot = 20/20
Portrayal of Characters = 20/20
Graphics and Special Effects = 20/20
Public Popularity Hit = 27/30
Minimal Goofs = 7/10
Total Movie Score: 94/100

AVERAGE STAR RATING: 9 out of 10 Stars
☆

I. MOVIE PLOT (20/20)
The plot of the movie was based on the legendary book series of J.K. Rowling - Harry Potter. This movie is what I believe to have the best plot from all movies in the Harry Potter film franchise. I actually have watched this film almost, I think, 20 times of much more, because as I see a particular scene from this movie on TV, I am already busy watching the whole of it. What makes this film as one of the best film in terms of movie plot is its continuity of the story. Comparing it from the other Harry Potter films, this film was truly in accordance in the novel. What was surprising is that this movie was based on a literally thick book.

II.  PORTRAYAL OF CHARACTERS (20/20)
Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint are already the faces of the Harry Potter film franchise. They are already popular because of these films. Also, as we can see in the Most Powerful Teen Celebrities of the World, most of them are always listed. What I considered in the Portrayal of Characters is the feelings placed by each actor into their character. Helena was really great in her Bellatrix portrayal. I like how Imelda acted out the vicious Dolores Umbridge. Each character was truly in with the movie.

III. GRAPHICS AND SPECIAL EFFECTS (20/20)
Though Internet Movie Database listed some noticeable errors, specifically that of crew/equipment visible. The movie had used great graphics and special effects. There is no doubt that the movies' Graphics and Special Effects are very surprising and wonderful. No wonder how each wand of some characters perform specific spells that are truly impossible to do in our nature.

IV. PUBLIC POPULARITY HIT (23/30)
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is JR's All Time Favorite Harry Potter Film. Considering its high box office of  $938,212,738, it is the Third Highest Grossing Harry Potter Film to date. It would have reached a billion if it was still in the theaters for more weeks. In the Internet Movie Database, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix got an average grade of 7.3 out of a possible 10 which was scored by a total of 114,286 Internet Movie Database members. Also, as we can see in the Box Office Mojo, it was graded an A by 2,106 (57.3% of Total Voters) Box Office Mojo members. Other grades in the Box Office Mojo are as follows: [B = 1,066 (29%); C = 227 (6.2%); D =  68 (1.8%); F = 209 (5.7%)].

V. MINIMAL GOOFS (8/10)
The movie has a total of 38 Goofs according to the Internet Movie Database. To get the score for the Minimal Goofs, JR divided the total number of goofs to the total number of minutes the film has in total. The tabulated total will then be multiplied by 10; and the product will be subtracted from 10 to get the final score. So, 38 divided by 139 minutes is 27.34%. The minimal goof score is then 7 out of a possible 10.

VI. JR's General Commentary / Reactions
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is one of JR's All-Time Favorite Movies. (By the way, this is also JR's All-Time Favorite Harry Potter Film). The main reason behind my love for this film is not just the regular popularity of characters but the combination of the nice movie story, a huge number yet not very much recognizable use of equipments, great special effects, and (definitely) the characters who are in the film. The movie was truly a one of kind. I recommend this to all individual who really are in with magic and action.
