Another year of JR's Celebrity lists... and guess who's on top. This year marks the second time that Lady Gaga is listed as the Celebrity of the Year. Lady Gaga's press, television, internet, and social media dominance made her the World's Most Powerful, Most Influential, Most Controversial, and Most Popular Celebrity for the Year 2011. Trailing behind her is Justin Bieber, the Most Viewed Celebrity in YouTube and the Second Most Followed Celebrity in Twitter. He is just inches away in beating the Queen of Pop in terms of social media dominance. On the other hand, Rihanna moved up four ranks from her last year's rank of #7 to #3. Musicians once again dominated the list with 7 of them in the Top 10. Only Oprah Winfrey, LeBron James and Cristiano Ronaldo made to the Top 10 without even being involved in the World of Music. Late Night hosts (namely Jay Leno, David Letterman, and Jon Stewart) had already said goodbye to the list except for Conan O' Brien who managed to be in this year's list. Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart enters this year's list for being in Twilight while Daniel Radcliffe returns to the list after his Harry Potter film ended last year. Ryan Murphy, alongside with Michael Bay, are the only directors / producers to be in this year's list. With the drop of Jay-Z, Kanye West, Usher and Flo Rida comes the entry of Manny Pacquiao and Roger Federer. Unfortunately, Taylor Swift drops off the list this year. Last 2011, Lady Gaga released the Born This Way album which (at present) sold a staggering 8 million copies and counting. It peaked at #3 in the 2011 Year-End Billboard 200. This album went on to receive the Top Electronic/Dance Album Award in the Billboard Music Awards and Favorite Album of the Year in the People's Choice Awards. She released five singles this year - Judas, Edge of Glory, You and I, Marry The Night and Born This Way which became the fastest-selling single in iTunes history. Born This Way is also nominated for this year's Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards for Best Song. Her music video for Born This Way also received many major awards like the Best Female Video and Best Video with a Messade in the MTV Video Music Awards and the Best Video in the MTV Europe Music Awards. According to Forbes, she is the Highest Paid Celebrity Under 30 with more than $90,000,000 of gross earnings. She is set to have her "Born This Way Ball" world tour this 2012."

Justin Bieber has not yet beaten Michael Jackson in terms of popularity and publicity; though, he is now the World's Prince of Pop earning most of his fame through the Internet and Social Media. Last February 2011, a 3D part-biopic and part-concert film about Justin Bieber was released. The movie entitled Justin Bieber: Never Say Never became the Highest Grossing Music Concert Movie in this 2000s Era earning a total of $98,441,594 box office gross. Other than a big movie about him, he also had his second studio album debut at the top of the Billboard 200. The album entitled Under The Mistletoe is Justin Bieber's own Christmas Album. His single Mistletoe also became a hit during the holidays. 2012 will surely be another big year for JB."
